Andreas Pfenning

- Principal Investigator
Andreas is a tenure track Assistant Professor in the Computational Biology Department in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Additionally, he has a courtesy appointment in the Department of Biological Sciences and is a member of Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition, a joint venture between Carnegie Mellon and the University of Pittsburgh.

Ashley is a technician with extensive training in molecular biology, cell culture, and virology.  She is using high-throughput report assays in vivo to study how genome sequence controls gene expression in the brain.

John researches the epigenomic basis of Alzheimer’s disease and aging.
Laura

Laura Gunsalus

- Undergraduate Student
Laura is a junior studying neuroscience and computer science and is interested in using genomic data to understand the mechanisms of neurological disorders. Her current research investigates the role of the immune system in Alzheimer’s disease.
